Eduardo ZAMORA Galerie Duchoze Rouen

Edouardo Zamora, born in Mexico in 1942, is “an inexhaustible storyteller, hungry for images”, as art critic Lydia Harambourg puts it. He trained at the National School of Visual Arts in Mexico City and then at the Academy of Graphic Arts in Krakow, Poland.

Edouardo Zamora painted as if he try to exorcise the suffering and misery that still reign in his native country. His works, representative of a “social surrealism”, depict a dreamlike, metaphorical universe in which hybrid characters re-enact popular legends and traditions in a joyous, gritty apocalypse.

Poetic and mysterious.
