Dickon EAMES (1945-1997) was an American artist known for his sculptures made of metal structures (such as the “Tuyaux” serie), poetic machines (such as the “Birds” or “Flying Machines” series), moving phrases (“The Crankshafts” Serie) and other inventions.
A dream engineer and poetic craftsman, Dickon Eames was a friend of the American sculptor and land artist Del Geist, the Dutch sculptor and painter Mark Brusse and the American sculptor Kosta Alex, among others.
His son Matthew Eames dedicated him a monograph in 2007, Dickon Eames un Américain à Paris.
